Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, Chairman of the Board of Directors, held a meeting with Mr. Antonio Banza General Manager of Eni North Africa, Libya Branch on Wednesday 20 December 2017 in the presence of specialists from both NOC and the Italian Company.
On Wednesday afternoon 20 December 2017 Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, NOC Chairman of the Board, met with Dr. Alhussein Omar Ben Hameida Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Free Zone Misurata and Mr. Yousef Abusheina General Manager of the General Department of Investment at the Free Zone.
The periodic meeting with Control Authorities at oil sector companies, chaired by Eng. Mustafa Sanalla NOC Chairman of the Board of Directors, was held at NOC HQs on Tuesday 19/12/2017.
This meeting was held within NOC's interest and the attention that it pays to the great role played by such authorities in regulating the work process of the sector.
In order to avoid power load shedding as a result of an emergency interruption in the gas pipeline connecting Sabratha Offshore Platform to Mellita Industrial Complex on 17 December 2017 for technical reasons and as gas flow continues from Al Wafa Field to the Complex in a normal and natural way, NOC diverted the whole produced quantity of natural gas to the coast network and postponed exports via Green Stream Offshore Pipeline from 2:00 p.m. to 16:00 p.m. when the problem was solved according to the practiced procedures in such cases to maintain gas supplies to power plants and so that shortage of gas supplies will not be a reason for more load shedding.
Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, NOC Chairman of the Board of Directors, met with Mr. Luis Polo Navas General Manager of Repsol Libya Branch on Monday 18 December 2017 in the presence of Mr. Khaled Bukhatwa General Manager of Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainable Development Department and Mr. AL Mehdi Smama Deputy General Manager of Repsol Libya Branch.
The meeting discussed the security assessment of Sharara Field, the Parties plans of next year's investment programs, social initiatives programs and spatial development in the operations areas in addition to discussing the contributions of the Second Party to Reservoir Department and Projects and Capacity Building Department.
Mr. Chairman of the Board explained that NOC seeks for production stability and sustainability through its plan for the next year, which will be one of the most important factors of the country's stability.
NOC also works hard to strengthen community relations with the local communities.
Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, NOC Chairman of the Board, met with His Excellency Minister of the Local Government Mr. Bedad Gonso on Wednesday 06 December 2017 in the presence of Mayor of Alaweina Municipality and representatives of Notables and Elders of the southern region.
