Chairman Mustafa Sanalla today announced the National Oil Corporation will open an office in Houston, Texas, as it embarks on an ambitious $20 billion spending program to restore production capacity over the next three years.
The First Scientific Conference for Environment and Sustainable Development titled "Air pollution in the Western Plain" was held on 11-12 November 2017 in Al Jamail city. The Conference was organized by the Steering Committee of Al Jamail Municipality and sponsored by NOC and Mellita Oil & Gas.
The second technical meeting between NOC and Harouge Oil Operation was held on 09/11/2017 at the Company's premises. The meeting was attended on the part of NOC, by a number of technical department managers (Reserve Development, Maintenance and Projects and Production) and a number of specialists from technical, financial and environmental departments at NOC.
The technical meeting of Zalaf Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company was held at NOC HQs on Monday 13/11/2017. This was the first meeting for this Company as it launched its activities quite recently. The meeting was attended, on the part of the Company, by Dr. Khalifa Abd Essadeg Chairman of the Management Committee, Dr. Mohamed Ali Dengo Member of the Management Committee for Planning and Development, Dr. Abdessalam Aziz Member of the Management Committee for Exploration, and Eng. Albrokli Abu Salah Habib Member of the Management Committee for Engineering and Projects in addition to a number of specialists from the Company.
Within NOC's interest in awareness-raising among the employees of the oil sector and in order to protect them from the ionizing radiation and raise awareness of its dangers and how to deal with it in a safely manner, and in presence of Mr. Khaled Bukhatwa General Manager of Health, Safety, Environment, Security and Sustainable Development, Mr. Abderrizag Ben Yousef General Manager of Human Resources and Dr. Salem Alabani Manager of Center of Radioactive Measurement and Training at Atomic Energy Establishment, the awareness campaign (Ionizing Radiation- Risks and Preventive Measures) which was held at NOC premises for 6 weeks, came to a conclusion on Tuesday 07/11/2017.
