NOC and Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) Convene for the Regular General Assembly Meeting of the Libyan Fertilizer Company (LIFECO)
The regular general assembly meeting of the Libyan Fertilizer Company (LIFECO) took place today, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Mahari Hotel (Radisson Blu) in Tripoli. The meeting was chaired by Eng. Masoud Suleman, Chairman of the NOC, and Dr. Ali Mahmoud Hassan, Chairman and CEO of the LIA. Also in attendance were Dr. Awad Al-Sabri, Chairman of LIFECO, and Mr. Hamad Areesh Hamad, CEO of the company.
Several members of the company’s board of directors, along with relevant managers from various departments and NOC department directors, participated in the meeting. The agenda included a presentation on the company’s operational and financial performance, a discussion of key challenges and proposed solutions, and an update on the implementation of future strategic projects.
Attendees praised the ongoing support and effective coordination from the NOC for the LIFECO. They emphasized the importance of collaboration in developing the manufacturing sector and improving operational efficiency.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the NOC’s Board of Directors highlighted the importance of maintaining the highest standards of occupational safety and environmental protection. He stressed the need to support the national workforce through specialized training and qualification programs that enhance their skills and efficiency. He also accentuated the necessity of providing adequate healthcare for all employees.
