The Exploration Departments of the National Oil Corporation and Waha Oil Company Hold Their Annual Technical Meeting
Today, Monday, November 03, 2025, the Exploration Departments of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Waha Oil Company, along with their partners, held their annual technical meeting in the Al-Sarir Hall at the NOC headquarters.
The meeting reviewed several projects and technical studies undertaken by Waha Oil Company this year, along with proposed projects for 2026 and the estimated budget for these programs.
The meeting also covered work plans for several exploration projects, which include three main programs: a seismic survey, a program for processing and reprocessing acquired seismic data, and the drilling of seven exploratory wells, along with various geological studies. These initiatives have been assigned to experienced national firms. Additionally, the meeting addressed the proposed studies for 2026.
The meeting was attended by directors from the Exploration Departments of the NOC and Waha Oil Company, as well as representatives from partner companies Total Energy (France) and ConocoPhillips (USA). It also included several observers, department heads, and technicians from both sides.
