Eng. Masoud Suleman, Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), held several bilateral meetings with international companies, including Shell and Baker Hughes, on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC).
At the beginning of the meetings, Eng. Suleman met with representatives from Shell to discuss the company’s activities, ongoing projects, and its potential contributions to the development of Libya’s oil and gas industry.
The meeting also covered the company’s future plans, including its intention to resume operations in Libya. This comes in line with other major international companies that have returned to the country, following the Memorandum of Understanding signed between both parties.
The importance of strengthening cooperation in training and exchanging technical expertise to support and hone the skills of Libyan nationals was also emphasized.
In a separate meeting, the NOC Chairman spoke with a delegation from Baker Hughes about areas of joint cooperation, the projects the company is currently implementing, and future opportunities in the oilfield services sector, including the expansion of its operations in Libya.
Both sides stressed the importance of maintaining their strategic partnership and enhancing areas of collaboration to support the oil sector and achieve sustainable development.
These meetings reflect the NOC’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with leading international companies and expanding investment and technological development opportunities to advance the oil sector in Libya.
