Zawiya Refinery controls fire caused by a technical error
Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) confirms that workers in Zawiya Refinery were successful in controlling a fire that was caused by a technical error in the asphalt tank. Health and safety measures were followed and no one was harmed as a result of the accident. The fire is now extinguished.
Early investigations confirmed that the fire was caused by a technical error and the NOC board has ordered a full investigation of the incident.
