Bengdara Discusses Expanding Global Oil Investments in Libya
Dr. Farhat Bengdara, Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), held talks with senior executives from major oil companies, including Eni, Total, Repsol, and Wintershall, on the sidelines of Libya Energy Week. The discussions focused on expanding partnerships in oil production, refining, and exploration.
Bengdara informed the executives that the NOC plans to soon open a bid round for exploration opportunities that have been stalled for over 17 years, encouraging these companies to increase their investments in Libya.
The talks took place following Bengdara’s opening of the fifth edition of Libya Energy Week, which gathered representatives from more than 28 leading global oil companies and organizations. The event also saw participation from local companies, NOC board members, general managers, heads of various departments, experts, and stakeholders from Libya and across the Arab and international oil sectors.
