Completion of the electricity network modernisation project in Al-Urqub area under the auspices of NOC
National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Brega Municipal Council have announced completion of an electricity network modernisation project in Al-Urqub area of Brega municipality, on Sunday November 30, 2019. The project was implemented by Brega Municipal Council Projects Office and the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), coordinated and funded by NOC’s Sustainable Development Department.
331 households will benefit from the project, in addition to a number of other service institutions in the region, including the Civil Registry Office, Al-Urqub Sports Club, Ibn Alnafes High School, Al-Urqub Medical Center and other vital facilities.
This activity is in accordance with NOC’s ‘good neighbour’ policy and ongoing commitment to support areas and communities adjacent to oil operations such as Brega municipality.
