National Oil Corporation employees honor Eng.Mustafa Sanalla for receiving the U.S. State Department’s Anti-Corruption Award

At noon on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) in Tripoli, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng.Mustafa Abdullah Sanalla, was honored by the NOC’s employees in a honoring ceremony, for receiving the anti-corruption award awarded by the U.S. Department of State, with the presence of Members of the Board of Directors, Abulgasem Shengher, Jadalla Alwokly, General Managers, departments heads, supervisors, consultants, engineers, specialists and employees from various departments at the National Oil Corporation.
The ceremony was opened by Mr. Abulgasem Shengher with a speech in which he said: ‘On behalf of my colleagues the members of the Board of Directors and all employees of the NOC and the companies in the sector, we congratulate the Chairman Eng.Mustafa Sanalla for receiving this prestigious international award, it is a medal for all of us and all those working in the oil and gas sector in Libya, the oil sector has gone through the past period through difficult stages and challenges, and was able to overcome it after exceptional efforts were made by its workers under the chairmanship of Eng.Sanalla, The NOC has published all the data on revenues monthly on its website and all its media platforms, which is the best proof of transparency and integrity, This prestigious international award is given only for those who deserve it, and Mr. Mustafa Sanalla has deserved it with full merit., and this award also coincided with the victory of the NOC in the second case of LERCO, Which was after God, with the efforts of all the workers from the top of the pyramid to all departments and companies.
 
All the workers in the entire oil sector have contributed to the collective work organized to win this cause and thank God, all this was as a result of the wise management of this vital sector that concerns all Libyans, the NOC has been working on this approach in accordance with the law and in the right ways since its founding and will continue along this path.

During his speech, Board member Mr. Jadalla Alwokly commented: “We thank God that we all met on the heart of one man throughout the last period thanks to the wisdom of Eng.Mustafa Sanalla and his rational management of the sector, despite all the storms that hit the Sector, he is the only man who moved between all regions of Libya east, north and south areas according to his great responsibilities to maintain the cohesion and unity of the oil sector, which was a major reason in our unity and the unity of Libya, and congratulations to Mr. Mustafa Sanalla, Congratulations to all of us.’
 
Eng.Mustafa Sanalla concluded the ceremony with a speech in which he said: “Thanks to all the employees of the Sector and the NOC, I am very happy to be among you today in this generous gesture, and on this occasion I pray for mercy to the souls of all our fellow martyrs of the oil sector, especially those who passed away and were with us in this place, Shaaban Laga, Abdul Mohsen Al-Adlawe, the last of whom eng. Raafat al-Najjar, who passed away yesterday, and all the workers in the oil sector who passed away due to the coronavirus, God bless them all, and we ask God healing for all.
 
the Board of Directors of the NOC has been consistent over the years, despite the political divide in the country, and it has addressed all the hands of corruption that tried to reach and mess with the sector, but we got the support of our people and the support of the United Nations and the international community because of our firm and clear positions in front of all, and some tried to divide the institution and dismantle it, but no one was able to do this because of the Board of Directors solidity and cohesion and all workers, and our goal was all the same, which is the interest of Libya and the Libyan people. We will continue our work in accordance with the transparency and disclosure policy, so that Libya can prosper and its people enjoy a decent life and well-being, and We have hope and confidence in God that we will all eventually reach safety, our motto of transparency, integrity and efficiency.’
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Chairman was honored with shields and souvenirs from all departments of the National Oil Corporation for this prestigious international award, and for his courage and wise management of the oil sector in Libya.
