National Oil Corporation Statement on Addressing Rumors and Unprofessional Analyses Regarding National Oil Revenues

In response to recent media reports containing inaccurate information about national revenues, the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Engineer Masoud Suleman, affirms that such reports do not reflect reality in any way. These publications are based on flawed and unprofessional financial analyses and appear to be deliberate attempts to undermine the country’s reputation for unknown purposes.

The Chairman emphasized that oil revenues are transferred to the national treasury regularly and without delay. He confirmed that the revenues for March were deposited on schedule, as per standard practice.

Regarding the slight decline in February’s revenues, Engineer Suleman explained that this was due to the shorter calendar month of February, having only 28 days, which naturally affected the total figures reported.

Fuel distribution continues according to a set schedule that ensures fair and comprehensive delivery across all villages, oases, and Libyan cities. Payment mechanisms are determined by the relevant domestic authorities, rendering this matter a purely national issue that should not be influenced by foreign media narratives.

In coordination with the Attorney General’s Office, the government, and regulatory bodies, the NOC reiterates its full commitment to adhering to approved financial and administrative procedures. Any claims to the contrary are simply efforts to mislead the public and create confusion.

In conclusion, the National Oil Corporation urges citizens, national elites, and local media outlets to seek information from official sources and refrain from relying on unreliable reports. The NOC also calls on the Central Bank to ensure accuracy and objectivity when issuing financial statements, taking into consideration all the technical aspects associated with oil operations.
