NOC Chairman Holds Extended Meeting with Oil Minister
This morning, Sunday, July 27, 2025, NOC Chairman Eng. Masoud Suleman held an extended meeting with the Minister of Oil in the Government of National Unity, Dr. Khalifa Abdul Sadiq.
The meeting discussed the implementation of the NOC’s strategic plan for developing the oil sector and increasing production rates during the first half of 2025.
They also reviewed the objectives to be achieved in the second half of the year, identified any obstacles that might prevent the NOC’s subsidiaries and centers from fulfilling their responsibilities within the strategic plan, and discussed the financial crisis affecting the sector and potential solutions.
The meeting also covered the Southern Refinery and the obstacles affecting the project’s progress. It included updates on the North Gialo and NC98 fields, as well as the status of negotiations with partners. Further, the NOC’s plans to supply natural gas to the local market and the advancement of gas field development projects were addressed.
