The two sides discussed the existing cooperation strategies between the NOC, its subsidiaries, and SLB. They talked about the ambitious plans to enhance these strategies and expand the exchange of expertise in the areas of brining shut-in wells to production. They also explored areas of developing oil fields within the framework of the integrated solutions strategy and the introduction of modern technologies.
The meeting reviewed joint projects between the two parties, including SLB’s contribution to increasing the sector’s production capacity, and studying integrated solutions capable of achieving tangible results in terms of raising production rates within effective reservoir management. It further discussed areas of cooperation with the Petroleum Research Center, supporting them with the necessary expertise and extensive experience in the field of reservoir studies and research, and expanding SLB’s activities in Libya.
In this regard, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NOC, Suleman, emphasized the importance of SLB’s presence within the oil projects in the southern region of Libya, particularly at the Ubari site.
