Production Increase Plan Monitoring Committee Conducts Field Visit to AGOCO Fields

On Wednesday and Thursday, September 23 and 24, a team from the National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) Production Increase Plan Monitoring Committee carried out a field visit to the Sarir, Messla, and Nafoora (non-unitized) fields, as well as Contract Area 91. All of these assets are operated by the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO).

The visit formed part of the NOC’s ongoing efforts to monitor implementation of its ambitious plan to increase production and to directly assess the progress of related technical and operational activities.

During the inspection tour, the committee team reviewed the condition of production facilities, supporting infrastructure, electrical grids, and control systems. They also assessed the operational readiness of production and processing units, and identified the main challenges and obstacles slowing the implementation of projects approved under the strategic plan to increase production.

At the end of the visit, the committee stressed the urgent need to address all technical, administrative, and financial obstacles facing ongoing projects. They also emphasized prioritizing activities that directly support production sustainability and increased output, to ensure that the targets set by the NOC are achieved.
