Sirte Oil Company Marks New Achievement in Boosting Crude Oil Production
Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing Company has achieved another major milestone, further adding to its history of accomplishments. The company has successfully completed the drilling of horizontal Well C353H in the Zeltin oil field, with a horizontal section extending approximately 900 feet. This was accomplished using the latest Geosteering HD real-time reservoir mapping while drilling technology.
The well was brought online in record time, and initial tests conducted on Thursday morning revealed exceptional results, with a flow rate exceeding 2,300 barrels per day of water free crude oil.
Notably, Sirte’s crude oil production has surpassed 103,000 barrels per day in recent days, a level not seen since 2007.
This achievement is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to implement its 2024 production enhancement plan, in line with the National Oil Corporation’s strategy to increase Libya’s oil and gas output.
