Statement of National Oil Corporation
The National Oil Corporation announces that the Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, has accepted the resignation of the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Farhat Bengdara, which he submitted due to urgent health circumstances that prevented him from optimally performing his duties and responsibilities.
In this context, the Prime Minister has decided to appoint Mr. Masoud Suleman, a member of the NOC’s Board of Directors and the acting chairman, to temporarily assume the responsibilities of the Chairman of the Board until the upcoming meeting of the Cabinet convenes to decide on the formation of a new Board of Directors.
The NOC confirms its full commitment to continuing to work to ensure the stability of the oil sector and to enhance its role as a fundamental pillar of the national economy.
