The chairman of the board meets with the municipal council of Yefren
On Thursday, 4 June 2020, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, met at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) in the capital, Tripoli, with the mayor of Yefren, Mr. Hussain Kafu.
During the meeting, a number of issues of concern to the Municipality of Yafran were discussed.
Under the umbrella of the NOC and within an agreement signed with the coalition of the Spanish company Repsol the sustainable development department will implement a number of projects in the municipality in relation to the solution of the water resources shortage, which includes drilling a water well, construction of a collection tank, and maintenance of existing water tanks within the municipality.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Sanalla, stressed in this regard that despite all the challenges and scarcity of budgets, as a result of the illegal closures of oil fields & terminals , the NOC will do everything in its power to provide the necessary support, especially solving some medical issues at Yafran General Hospital, after up-lifting the unjustified blockade imposed on the production and export of oil by a rogue group.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Hussein Kafu, Mayor of Yefren Municipality, and the members of the Municipal Council, Saeed Abu Qusaya, Osama Al-Hajj, Dr. Khaled Al-Shammakhhi, Deputy Director of the Center for Communicable Diseases, in addition to Mr. Muhammad Abu Suwaider from the municipality’s civil society , and on behalf of the National Oil Corporation from, Mr. Mukhtar Abdel-Daiem, the Sustainable Development Department’s Manager, and Mr. Fathi Madi, Investment Department’s manager.
