To affirm the principle of transparency and good governance …The NOC forms committees to follow up on the functioning of the sector companies “Akakus, Waha, Mellitah”

As part of the National Oil Corporation (NOC)’s periodic and continuous follow-up to the functioning of companies in the sector, and its constant keenness to follow the principle of transparency and good governance.

 

On Sunday morning, March 27, 2022, at the NOC’s headquarters in Tripoli,The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mustafa Sanalla, held a meeting a with the Chairman of the Follow-up Committee of Akakus company, Mr. Mohammed Al-Shebani,  the members of the follow-up committee of “Akakus” company Messrs. Salman Al-Mazugi, Mohammed Al-Sharif, member of the follow-up committee of “Waha” company Ms. Samira Al-Azabi, Member of the committee follow-up “Mellitah” company Mr. Mohammed Dorar and the NOC’s Acting Manager of Maintenance and Projects Mr. Salah Eddin Zayed.

 

At their first meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NOC, the committees discussed the nature and functions of the committees, the development of their mechanism of action, and the clarification of the objectives required of each committee to achieve it, also to ensure the follow-up of all works of the concerned companies.

 

For his part, Mr. Mustafa Sanalla stressed the full support of the NOC for the committees to follow up the concerned companies and urged them to abide by the dates of submitting their reports, proposals and periodic recommendations, to convey the picture to the NOC and to be able to apply its higher values in maintaining the country’s wealth.

 

Mr. Mustafa Sanalla also stressed the need for effective control over public funds, to ensure that disbursement is done in the right ways of spending, and to assist the concerned parties in the State.

 

It is noteworthy that the committees formed by the decisions of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NOC No. (140), (603) and (308) for the year 2022, review and follow up on the decisions that have a technical, administrative and financial nature which taken by the chairmans and members of the managements committees of the companies “Akakus, Mellitah, Waha”, to make sure of the implementation of the approved budget plan for them, evaluating the work of the committees of personnel and departments of companies, in addition to the evaluating of the application of the companies annual and strategic plans, preparing reports on their work, and monitoring any violations contrary to the regulations governing For her work.
