Waha Oil Company Successfully Drills New Well and Restarts Another in the Faregh Field

Waha Oil Company announced that it has successfully drilled a new gas well (BB 19) in the Faregh field, after overcoming technical challenges during the process.

Initial tests of the well showed a flow of approximately 28 million cubic feet of natural gas and a production of 1,290 barrels of condensate per day at a 64/64 choke. These results are encouraging and support the company’s plan to boost production.

Technical teams also successfully maintained well (BB 7) after analyzing the petrophysical properties of the sandstone reservoir. Initial production from the well reached approximately 1,478 barrels of oil per day and 1.8 million cubic feet of gas.

This achievement resulted from the effective collaboration between the technical departments, the contributions of national staff in executing the work, and the direct support of the Management Committee.

These steps are part of ongoing efforts to boost production and maintain operations at the field, adhering to the highest quality and safety standards in line with the objectives of the National Oil Corporation.
