The Mellitah Oil & Gas succeeded on Saturday in reopening gas well No. CW04 located on the Sabratha Platform (Bahr Es Salam Field). The success comes after the well stopped production since January 28, 2021 due to technical problems, now set to production.
The total production amounts to about 37 million cubic feet of gas per day, whereas the amount of condensates is estimated at about 1,000 barrels per day.
The Sabratha Platform is one of the largest production platforms in Libya, in which the gas well represents a crucial part of its production operations.
The reopening of the well comes as part of the company’s efforts to increase production and achieve maximum benefit from the available resources.
