NOC Lays Foundation Stone for New Tajoura Oil Depot to Modernize Infrastructure and Increase Storage Capacity
On Wednesday morning, October 14, 2026, Brega Oil Marketing Company laid the foundation stone for the Tajoura Oil Depot. The project is part of the company’s 2025–2029 development plan and is being carried out in partnership with OLA Energy. It also supports the NOC’s strategy to modernize oil infrastructure and expand storage capacity.
The project is expected to increase storage capacity, upgrade infrastructure, and improve the efficiency of fuel supply and distribution. These improvements will provide greater flexibility in inventory management and strengthen the company’s operational capabilities.
The project is being carried out in partnership with OLA Energy under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model. It will help develop oil facilities and strengthen the fuel supply system’s readiness.
Approved by the NOC, the project is a strategic investment intended to help ensure a reliable supply of petroleum products for the local market.
