Delegations Arrive for 4th APPO Training Officials Meeting
The organizing committee of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), which is hosting the Libyan edition of the 4th Meeting of Training Officials of the African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO), has started welcoming participating delegations arriving in Tripoli. Led by the APPO Secretary General, the delegations are beginning to arrive as part of the final preparations for the meeting.
The organizing committee welcomed the guests from member states, confirming that all organizational, technical, and logistical arrangements are in place to ensure the success of this important African event. The meeting also reflects Libya’s standing and its active role in supporting joint cooperation initiatives and developing human resources in the energy sector.
The forum is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, with the participation of training officials, experts, and specialists from APPO member states. Discussions will focus on strategies to develop training and qualification programs, share experiences and best practices in capacity building, and help develop qualified national personnel able to keep pace with the rapid changes reshaping the oil, gas, and energy sectors across Africa.
Libya’s hosting of this edition reflects the NOC’s commitment to strengthening joint African cooperation and promoting investment in human capital as the cornerstone of developing the oil sector and building a more sustainable future.
