The NOC’s General Department of Oil Industries held separate meetings on Sunday and Monday, October 11 and 12, 2026, with Sirte Oil Company and Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Processing Company at their respective headquarters.
The discussions focused on the companies’ manufacturing activities in 2026, as well as future projects and production plans scheduled for 2027.
At the meeting with Sirte Oil Company, participants reviewed several key projects, including final preparations to bring the gasoline production unit online this week, a 30-megawatt fourth power plant at the petrochemical complex, and plans to restart the gas processing unit. The initiatives are intended to increase domestic production, improve operational efficiency, and reduce gas flaring.
The meeting with Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Processing Company covered its general activities. Participants heard a presentation on the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department’s work and measures to strengthen process safety. The NOC’s General Department of Operations also reviewed production at the company’s industrial facilities. Discussions covered the facilities’ current operating status and ongoing, approved and planned projects, with the aim of strengthening direct coordination with the NOC.
Both meetings were attended by the NOC’s directors of Oil Industries, Inspection and Measurement, along with the chairmen and board members of both companies and specialists from both sides.
