NOC Holds Workshop on IOPS and Artificial Lift Tech

The NOC, represented by its Production Department and in cooperation with the Van Oil Group, held a specialized workshop on Integrated Production Operations Services (IPOS) and Artificial Lift Technologies. The event was well attended by specialists and representatives from the NOC and its operating companies.

The workshop addressed the operational challenges facing artificial lift operations, primarily the high proportion of sand associated with production and its direct impact on equipment efficiency and lifespan. It also explored solutions for real-time well monitoring to minimize unexpected shutdowns and ensure the sustainability of production operations.

The sessions also highlighted the latest technologies aimed at improving efficiency, lowering operating costs, and minimizing downtime. Key topics included rigless methods for installing electric submersible pumps and pump technologies designed specifically for deep wells with small casing diameters (5 inches).

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of these technical initiatives in strengthening partnerships and exchanging advanced expertise. It also highlighted the need to adopt modern innovations to support the development and modernization of Libya’s oil and gas sector.
