Metkhendoush Field Well Back in Production at 1,630 Barrels Per Day
Sirte Oil Company for Production and Manufacturing of Oil and Gas has successfully returned well J-03 in the Metkhendoush field to production. This follows the completion of the installation and commissioning of an electric submersible pump (ESP) artificial lift system, as part of the company’s efforts to maintain production rates and increase the production capacity of its oil fields.
Initial operational tests conducted after commissioning were completed showed that the well is producing at a rate of approximately 1,630 barrels of oil per day. This highlights the effectiveness of the technical work, the stability of the well’s performance, and the successful achievement of operational targets.
This achievement comes in line with the NOC’s plan to maintain and increase oil production rates through well development and rehabilitation programs, as well as improved operational efficiency. It supports the long-term sustainability of production and helps strengthen the oil sector’s overall capacity.
